The Miami Beach Bus, for example, runs every 30 minutes from 6AM until just before midnight all week, from the Miami International Airport Metrorail station. The bus costs $2.65 – just take the free MIA Mover service from the airport to the Metrorail station. Or, jump on a Green Line or Orange Line train from Miami Central Station to reach other areas of Miami, again for $2.25 one way. There’s also a Tri-Rail service that links Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach – head to the third level of the airport terminal to get the free MIA Mover, then hop off at Miami Central Station to access Tri-Rail services. Hiring a car? Take the MIA Mover to the Miami Intermodal Center – the rental car center is next door. And if you’re in a hurry, take a taxi. You’re looking at around $22 to get downtown.

Airport information

Flying from Manchester Airport
Manchester Airport has three passenger terminals, and you can walk between them fairly easily – there’s a skylink connecting Terminals 1 and 2, which are about a 15-minute walk away from each other. There’s a covered walkway between Terminals 1 and 3, which are five minutes apart. American Airlines and British Airways fly from T3, whereas Air Canada and Delta both fly from T2, so check where you’re flying from before you arrive. If you’ve got time to kill, there are plenty of shops and pre-bookable lounges, as well as Travelex UK currency exchange services in all three airport terminals.

Landing in Miami Airport
Miami International Airport is eight miles west of downtown Miami, and one of North America’s busiest for international flights. It’s made up of six concourses – D, E, F, G, H and J – divided between the North Terminal (Blue), Central Terminal (Yellow) and South Terminal (Red). Each of the terminals has three levels, and arrivals are on the first level. There are moving walkways to get you between terminals, and the North Terminal is served by the Skytrain on the top level. As for withdrawing money, there’s a Bank of America branch on the 4th level of North Terminal D, and ATMs in terminals D, E and J. There are currency exchange booths all over the airport, although you’ll find most on the second level.
