Taxis
Grabbing a taxi to Miami from the airport couldn’t be easier. Rates are around $20 to downtown, $30 to Miami (south) Beach. Fees are around $4.50 for the first 1/6 mile, (including a $2.00 airport surcharge fee) and $.40 each additional 1/6 mile, with $1 per each additional passenger.
Shuttles
The airport’s blue Super Shuttle vans are a fleet of convenient, around the clock, shuttles whisking passengers to and from the airport, downtown, the port, the beaches and the main hotels. These ‘shared ride’ shuttles cut the price of a cab in half. Look for their Guest Representatives, wearing gold shirts and blue jackets. Prices from $8. The drive from the airport to Miami Beach shouldn’t take more than half an hour.
