December - Repticon (11-18 Dec 2011)
A convention for lovers of reptiles and amphibians, with exhibits, seminars and more at Central Florida Fairground.
January - Tinkerbell Half Marathon Weekend (27 - 29 Jan 2012)
Family and kids' races with 5K and 13 mile runs for the adults, all through Disneyland Resort Orlando.
February - Daytona 500 (26 Feb 2012)
The most prestigious race in the NASCAR calender with 43 stock cars at Daytona International Speedway.
March - Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival (16 - 18 Mar 2012)
350,000 visitors view artwork from over 200 artists with clay, glass, leather, painting and sculpture among the media used.
April - Florida Film Festival (13 - 22 Apr 2012)
Indie and foreign films are showcased, previewed and celebrated across several Orlando venues.
May - Orlando International Fringe Festival (May 2012 TBA)
A variety of offbeat and often uncensored performances including comedy, held at the Lowndes Shakespeare Centre.
June - Annual Harvest Festival (22 - 24 Jun 2012)
Fun for the family with grape stomping, over 80 artists and crafters plus wine tasting at Lakeridge Winery, Clermont.
July - Fireworks at the Fountain (4 Jul)
Fun, food, music and a patriotic fanfare of fireworks at Lake Eola Park's newly renovated fountain.
August - Anime Festival Orlando (3 -5 Aug 2012)
Video game tournaments, fan panels and panel discussions on anime and manga at the Wyndham Orlando Resort.
September - Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween (Sept - 1 Nov 2012)
A parade, Disney characters, trick or treating and fireworks are part of this light haunted Halloween at the Magic Kingdom.
October - Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights (throughout Oct)
Eight haunted houses, six scare zones and live shows filled with Universal Studio's mutants, monsters and maniacs.
