Air Miles and Alliances - Cathay Pacific
Cathay Pacific is a member of the Oneworld Airline Alliance; other partners include: American Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Lan Airlines, Malév, Mexicana, Qantas, Royal Jordanian and S7 Airlines.
Passengers who fly with a Oneworld affiliated airline can also earn miles on their Marco Polo Club account, and may choose to spend their miles on Oneworld benefits. In order to gain Oneworld Emerald tier membership, passengers need to be a Diamond member of the Marco Polo Club, in order to gain Sapphire status; a Gold Marco Polo account should be held. Silver members of the Marco Polo club may receive the benefits of the Ruby OneWorld membership tier. Oneworld frequent flier benefits include worldwide airport lounge access, priority boarding and preferred seating.

Passengers who fly with Cathay Pacific on a regular basis may wish to join the Marco Polo Club – the airline’s frequent flyer club. Miles are awarded to passengers according to the miles flown, the cabin flown in and the type of ticket purchased; allowing passengers to move through the four tiers of the Marco Polo Club.
Passengers start in the Green membership tier, and can move through Silver and Gold levels to attain top (Diamond) status. Benefits of the club include priority check-in and boarding, in-flight duty-free specials, excess baggage allowances, lounge access and inclusion in ‘The Club Magazine’ for Marco Polo Club members.
