Economy Class

You never have to compromise on comfort when flying economy on Virgin Atlantic. With the Seat pitch in economy a minimum of 31 inches you can relax in comfort. For those who need extra room, there is the option of seats with an additional 3 inches of legroom – these need to be booked prior to boarding and will incur a charge of £20/£30.

Offering excellent entertainment, each seat in Economy comes with a seatback TV with a range of channels - some flights also include a seatback video games console. All meals in economy are complimentary and a range of drinks are also included in the fare. Meals catered to specific dietary requirements (including Kosher and gluten-free) are also available, but notification will be required at least 48 hours before.

For those flying overnight there is also a free amenity kit. If you’re flying from Manchester and London you’ll be provided with a free newspaper while children are catered for with specific meals and a K-iD backpack that’s bursting with goodies.

Premium Economy

Enjoy the blissful indulgence of premium economy, where you can relax on wider seats that are 21 inches across, and provide a seat pitch of 38 inches. This extra seat pitch space ensures passengers have ample legroom and an additional two degrees of recline.

Along with the extra space, passengers are offered a pre-flight drink and a complimentary newspaper to help them settle in. Premium Economy passengers also have a seatback TV, which offers the latest blockbuster movies, the hottest TV shows, video games and up to 14 audio channels ranging from pop to classical. Meals in Premium Economy are fantastic, served on china crockery with stainless steel cutlery, with a choice of three main meals, a range of drinks (including beers, wines and liqueurs) as well as a variety of snacks. An after dinner liqueur is also provided. 

Premium passengers can also benefit from a proper workspace with in-seat laptop power, extra privileges to help fast track your airport experience, while overnight travellers are provided with a Premium Economy amenity kit.  

Upper Class

Prepare to be spoilt as you enjoy the pure luxury of Upper Class on Virgin Atlantic. Arrive in style with access to a chauffeur, and jump the queue with your own private security channels allowing you to whisk through your check-in (dependent on airport) and arrive straight at our luxurious clubhouse waiting room.

Arrive on your flight and be greeted with pre-flight champagne, before enjoying the seats that turn into a fully flat bed at the touch of a button, with dimensions of 79.5 inches long and 33 inches wide.

Seats on the upper deck of aircraft turn into slightly longer beds (82 inches). Both seats and suites come with their own power supply for charging personal devices. Upper Class suites also have plenty of room for informal meetings, with a large desk, and a 10.4inch multi-directional TV screen. Enjoy the entertainment provided with more than 3,000 hours of films, games and TV, and make the most of the dining experience. Upper Class passengers are able to eat when they choose – from a three course meal just after take-off to a snack and drink at the upper class bar. Example main meals include: Pork loin topped with glazed apple and Somerset cider sauce, coarse grain mustard mashed potatoes and Savoy cabbage and red onion and pan-seared cod fillet with salsa Verde, buttered new potatoes, carrot ribbons and fresh asparagus.
