Hua Hin & Cha Am travel guide

The two districts are adjacent to each other yet located in different provinces, while they both boast famous beach resort towns, popular among the locals of Bangkok. They are perhaps a little less touristy than other beach resorts in Thailand, yet still offer plenty of entertainment and activities to keep you occupied.

Visit Hua Hin and Cha Am

Staying by the beach is the way to go in both towns, the main beach area of Hua Hin is becoming increasingly cosmopolitan and is equipped with excellent restaurants and bars to complement the variety of accommodation on offer. International hotel chains are present in town, with hotels encompassing all styles, from high-rise blocks to resorts, bungalows and chalets.

Cha Am is a little quieter and more boutique at present, but will likely catch up with Hua Hin as the area continues to grow. The beachfront is lengthy and offers many places to stay, providing you will a relaxing platform from which you can explore the local temples and national parks.
