Eating and drinking at the Centara Grand Beach Resort is quite a varied affair, with plenty of different cuisines to choose from. There’s the Hagi restaurant with fifty authentic Japanese recipes, including plenty of sushi and sashimi.
Zico’s Brazilian Bar and Grill serves grilled meat and fish, to the tune of live Brazilian music, and has a vibrant bar too. It’s open till 1 in the morning.
In the beachside Spice Island restaurant, the menu is all about traditional Thai, with an emphasis on the wonderful local seafood.
The Palm Grove serves Western and Thai food from early in the morning, till midnight. Casual, but with a trendy feel, you can eat outside here too.
The Piccolo pastry and snack shop serves just that, along with coffee and tea all day long.
Head for the Islander lobby bar for drinks and a live band, open till midnight. Rather more casual, you can swim up to order your drink at the Dip and Sip pool bar. For wonderful views of the beach as you sip your cool cocktail, you’ll warm to the Sea Breeze beach bar and terrace.
