Shangri La's Rasa Ria Resort, Borneo - Rooms
The Garden Wing at the Shangri La Rasa Ria Resort has a total of 326 rooms and suites. All the ground floor rooms have private lanais (porches), accessed through verdant gardens. Upper floor rooms have private balconies with views of the forest or the sea. The suites have private verandahs with wonderful views of the South China Sea.
Beginning with the Garden Wing, a Superior Rainforest View Room here has a split-level layout, with its own private balcony. There’s cable TV, complimentary broadband/WiFi internet access, in-room entertainment system, pillow menu, bathrobe/slippers, and lots more.
A Deluxe Garden View Room has the same spec, but looks out onto the gardens instead. The Sea View Deluxe Rooms face the beach across the manicured lawns.
If you plump for an Executive Sea View Room, you’ll be on an upper floor, with an unobstructed view of the glorious South China Sea. These rooms have a split-level layout, with a daybed.
The unique, new Ocean Wing houses 90 luxury rooms, all facing the wind-swept sea. It has its own more private swimming pool, and is more of an exclusive retreat. You’ll breakfast at the Coast restaurant, reserved for Ocean Wing guests.
A Premier Room in the Ocean Wing is three times the size of those in the Garden Wing, with a private terrace. You’ll also be able to luxuriate in an outdoor private bathtub for two, with a daybed to rest on. Private indoor dining is available, and there’s a Nespresso machine, as well as in-house movie and DVDs. It’s a true retreat.
Suites in the Garden Wing include the Executive Suites - one bedroom with a separate sitting room, and a bathroom with separate shower. Bedside light/curtain controls mean you don’t have to get up to change the mood.
Top of the tree, so to speak, is the one bedroom Speciality Suite, the biggest of them all. As expected, it has separate sitting and dining rooms, a bathroom with a large separate shower cubicle, and bedside light/curtain controls.
