There are a whole host of spectacular sights around the globe that attract hoards of tourists each and every year. There are earthly wonders where nature has created areas of pure sublime beauty as well as man-made builds displaying architectural achievements from throughout history. For those looking to visit an area with a plenitude of cultural treats and awe-inspiring views, here’s a review of the top five destinations to see before you die.

1) The Pyramids of Giza, Egypt

The Pyramids of Giza were built on the banks of the Nile and have become a must-see attraction for those holidaying in Egypt. There are three main pyramids, each of which stands 450 feet high. The site was built in around 2550 BC and is considered to be one of the greatest architectural wonders of all time. The most famous pyramid is Khufu, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and there is also Khafre and Mankaure, both of which offer spectacular photo opportunities.

2) Grand Canyon, USA

Carved by the Colorado River, the Grand Canyon is a huge rift that astounds many of its visitors due to its overwhelming size. The vast mountainous landscape is an awe-inspiring location to view, and the Skywalk now allows visitors to venture across on a glass bridge, adding a new dimension to any Grand Canyon trip. To enhance the Grand Canyon experience even further, there are also helicopter rides available which allow visitors to see more of the location that they would be able to on foot.
