How to party like a celebrity in Dubai

Renowned for its lavish landscape, filled with glistening buildings, hot white sands and shopping malls untouched by the rest of the world; Dubai is a holiday destination unlike any other.

Not one to come up short, Dubai carries its opulent outlook on life from the beach all the way to the dance floor, with some of the biggest, best and most extravagant clubs in world.

However, never one to lack surprises, Dubai has a few tricks up its party sleeve. Here are some of our favourite night spots in this land of luxury.

Chi@ The Lounge

With its doors opening at 9pm, and staying open until 3am, this behemoth of a nightclub is the perfect place to go if you’re looking to forget your troubles, and dance the night away. As the original big one of the Dubai landscape, this is the club all others look up to. But whilst they all migrate to the Marina, Chi is holding firm with its banging music, club nights and various stand out gigs, all happening regularly throughout the year. With a more casual dress code, revellers will want to make the most of the clubs Chi Garden – a huge outdoor dance floor, where world renowned DJs perform.

Nasimi Beach

With extravagance galore surrounding the Dubai landscape, an artificial 7km beach, out to sea, shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. But what Nasimi Beach, part of the Atlantis, The Palm hotel resort, offers holiday goers is something magical. Although many consider it the perfect place to lounge, drink and eat lunch with a fabulous view during the week, it transforms into a club at weekends, filling the air with the latest hits on the music landscape – the perfect, and decidedly different, way to take in the Dubai skyline at night.

Trilogy

For late night partying, Trilogy is everything the party animal in you could want. After leaving the scene for a few years, this mammoth three floor club made an equally massive comeback, becoming a premier destination for those looking to dance the night away on their Dubai excursion. With a main room, urban room and a roof top, this is a must hit clubbing venue, hosting a number of amazing DJs, both local and international.

Buddha Bar

Everyone knows Dubai is a hot bed for A-list celebrities, and if you’re looking to catch the Hollywood Elite dancing to the latest beats, then Buddha Bar is the place for you. Showcasing a dramatic Asian inspired interior, complete with extravagant chandeliers, a wall of sheer reflective glass, and a giant Buddha watching over the grand venue, this place is wall to wall lavishness of the highest degree. Be prepared to queue however, and don’t forget to throw on something as opulent as the venue itself.

Fibber Magee’s

If you’re looking for something a little different to off-set the all-out wealth and luxury that shrouds the corners of Dubai, then check out Fibber Magee’s. Situated behind the Crowne Plaza Hotel, holiday makers will find this unique scruffy venue, recognised as Dubai’s most authentic Irish pub. Opening from 7pm until 3am, visitors can experience the greatest of Irish charm as they swig great ales and stouts, and dine on traditional fish and chips – there’s even a quiz on a Tuesday night.

Alpha

It may only open three nights a week, but Alpha is a place where you can start and end your night. Doors open at 6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 4pm on a Friday, before closing at 3am; the perfect amount of time to get your dancing shoes on. Boasting a quirky look throughout, revellers will spot everything from Greek statues to Andy Warhol style paintings glowing on the walls. However, unlike many of the other clubs, this place plays slightly different music, often attracting the indie music crowd, and has held performances from the likes of The Ramones; think a festival in a nightclub and you’re pretty much there.
