Airbus A380 vs Boeing 747-8: which is better?

It’s been the biggest battle in the skies over the last few years. The Airbus A380 vs. the Boeing 747-8. The two great rivals continue to divide opinion, but which is the better aircraft?

The A380 is the largest passenger jet in the world and was constructed to challenge the monopoly held by Boeing in the market for large aircraft. It entered commercial service in 2007 and for some it is at the top of the tree above the 747.

The A380’s great rival the Boeing 747-8, is the longest passenger aircraft in the world and the largest commercial aircraft built in the United States. As the 4th generation 747 it offers lengthened fuselage and redesigned wings as well as improved efficiency. But how does it compare against the A380?
