Flying to Hurghada International Airport (HRG)

Flights to Hurghada (HRG) are available from a selection of major UK cities, however many routes are subject to seasonal changes. From both London Gatwick and Heathrow, Turkish Airlines offer return flights with a layover in Istanbul, while you can fly with EgyptAir and stopover in Cairo if you prefer. It is also possible to travel from Manchester, Edinburgh and Birmingham with Turkish Airlines, again via Istanbul. All other return flights from UK airports require two or more transfers, elongating the travel time by several hours.

On Arrival and Getting Around the Airport

HRG is a two- terminal airport, most of which has been recently renovated to be able to accommodate higher levels of traffic. The terminals house a number of dining facilities, including restaurants and vending machines, several shops, a currency exchange service, a VIP lounge and a post office. Car rental services can be located next to arrivals and ATMs are scattered throughout both terminals.

It is easily accessible by several modes of transport, including private car, taxi and bus. Please be advised that the public buses do not have regularly fixed stops, they require passengers to state where they wish to be dropped off. The journey from the terminal to the city centre via car or taxi takes about 15 minutes.
