Weather

The hot season for the Maldives lasts from March to May, with highs of around 30° but it's generally overcast. August to January is cooler but temps rarely drop below 27°, so you're in for a warm one whenever you go!

Good Impressions

Maldivians follow the Islamic religion and therefore tend to be quite conservative. A handshake is common but between men and women it's usually a nod or small bow. 'Assalaam Alaikum' is the Arabic greeting most used.
