Baggage Allowance - US Airways
US Airways fares include a free baggage allowance; this will differ according to which class of travel and ticket type chosen. If you need to carry additional baggage, this can be placed in the hold but you will be charged.
One bag is permitted, not exceeding 18kg weight or dimensions 115cm maximum linear dimensions. Also able to be carried onto the aircraft is one personal item (purse / laptop case etc) which must be able to fit under the seat in front of you and cannot be larger than 45cm x 36cm x 20cm.

Hold baggage (flights to/from Europe)
One bag is permitted, with a maximum weight of 23kg. First and Business Class passengers may check up one additional bag weighing 23kg at no charge on US Airways. This is also the case for Star Alliance Silver and Gold status members.
Passengers travelling with children may also carry one fully collapsible pushchair OR one car seat, free of charge.
Golf equipment will be accepted in the normal baggage allowance in lieu of a piece of baggage. A pull cart may be included if it is attached to a golf bag. Golf equipment should be enclosed with a cover to prevent loss of contents. Hard sided carriers are recommended. One item of golf equipment consists of: 1 golf bag, containing no more than 14 golf clubs, 12 golf balls and one pair of golf shoes.
Musical instruments are considered a fragile item. Fragile items will be accepted as checked baggage if they are appropriately packaged in a container/case designed for shipping such items. Fragile items without appropriate packaging will be accepted upon the execution of a release furnished by US Airways relieving US Airways of liability for loss/damage of checked baggage.
Musical instruments are permitted as carry-on baggage as long as they can be safely stowed and have dimensions no greater than 75 in/190 cm (length + width + height).
