Thailand car hire

Hit the road with a great deal on car hire in Thailand

If you've got your trip to Thailand all booked and sorted, perhaps you've moved on to thinking how you might get around once you're there, or are considering an alternative to internal flights, which could be restrictive on time. If so, car hire in Thailand is an excellent option to take in order to afford yourself the freedom of your own transport, and potentially minimise the cost of getting around the country.

Prices from only £26.41 per day

Bangkok car hire New-Avis £26.41 Check Availability

Airport pickups usually offer the best rates, which will likely be your route into Thailand, so take advantage of this. You’ll instantly have your own wheels to take you to your first destination, which can alleviate the stress of having to find your way to your hotel once you land.

In the vein of alleviating stress, seriously consider arranging a sat nav with the rental company prior to picking your car up. Navigating in Thailand can be quite difficult, with some road signs not offering English translations, or if they do they’re often small and hard to make out. Even with a good quality road map it can be easy to get lost, and the peace of mind and ease that a sat nav brings, will make it money very well spent.

Once free to explore, the country really is your oyster, and while Thailand is big, the driving out of town is comfortable and the scenery makes it really quite enjoyable. The drive from Bangkok to Chiang Mai in the north will take around eight hours, which is a decent trip but nothing an early rise won’t sort out, and infinitely better for the soul than dealing with airport queues and hellish flights.
