Istanbul Airport Guide

Flights to Istanbul arrive at either Istanbul Atatürk International Airport or Istanbul Sahiba Gökçen International Airport. Flights from the UK normally arrive at Atatürk International Airport.

Atatürk International Airport is located 17 miles west of Istanbul. There are 2 terminals, which are connected by a walkway with escalators and travelators. A light rail system connects Atatürk Airport to Esenler Terminal, while airport buses run to central Istanbul on demand, the journey time being approximately 30 minutes. Taxis are also available outside airport terminals. Within the airport, there are banks, cash machines and currency exchange facilities, as well as 24 hour shopping, restaurants and bars.
