Climate
Tropical Miami is hot and humid in summer (June-Sept) with abundant sunshine reaching into the mid-thirties Centigrade, and almost daily heavy down bursts, sometimes followed by brief, squally storms, which can be quite dramatic.
Winters are warm and a touch drier. The city experiences cold fronts from late October through March. However, the average monthly temperature for any month has never been recorded as being under 15 degrees Centigrade (January averages 16 °C). The Hurricane season is usually June-August, but Miami isn’t as badly hit as other Tropical areas, and bad weather doesn’t tend to hang around for long.
