Flying with Thai Airways opens you up to the benefits of earning miles thanks to the Royal Orchid Plus programme. With this scheme, you can earn rewards whether you’re in the air, on the ground or just spending in your everyday life.
Thai and Star Alliance Airlines
As Thai Airways is part of the Star Alliance, passengers on both Thai Airways and Star Alliance affiliated flights, can earn themselves air miles on the Royal Orchid Plus programme.
The miles you earn are based upon the fare paid, class of service and the distance you’ve flown. On Thai Airways passengers can earn 100% of miles flown in Economy, 110% in Premium Economy, 125% in Royal Silk and 150% in First Class.
On a Star Alliance operated flight, passengers can earn 100% in Economy, 125% in Business and 150% in First Class.

When flying on a Thai Airways or Star Alliance codeshare flight, you can earn your Royal Orchid Plus miles based upon the paid class of travel - subject to eligible booking codes of the airline flown.
There are also codeshare agreements with airlines that aren’t partners with the Royal Orchid Plus scheme.

Car rental partners
With the Royal Orchid Plus scheme, you can also earn air miles whilst driving a car from a rental company.
The general rate for miles gained per rental are 250 to 500, however promotional offers can sometimes double these miles.

Spending on a credit or charge card issued by a partner of the Royal Orchid Plus scheme will also help boost your air miles.
This is done by transferring points earned on your loyalty programme to your Royal Orchid Plus account.

Uniquely the Royal Orchid Plus programme offers its users the ability to gain extra miles through the use of their mobile phone. If you use a mobile phone network that participates in the travelling connect scheme, all you have to do is register once and you could earn up to seven miles a minute whenever you use your phone abroad.
