Singapore is a great place to eat if you like the tastes of the Orient and Asia. The Miramar is no exception. The Fern Tree Café at lobby level offers a buffet of Asian favourites, as well as some interesting East meets West fusion creations. There’s a good à la carte menu selection too. There are three restaurants within the Hotel Miramar as well as a bar and lounge too. Your dining options are:

Fern Tree Café

An extensive choice of Eastern and Western flavours blended to create a culinary fare of tantalizing dishes. Both buffet and à la carte dining are available.

Peach Garden Sichuan

If it’s Chinese gourmet food that tickles your taste buds, the Peach Garden Sichuan will be your choice. Not only a restaurant, a clever and creative use of space means it’s been hosting seminars, private events, product launches and other corporate events too, from 15 to 600 people.

Ikoi Japanese Restaurant

The Ikoi Japanese Restaurant serves authentic Japanese cuisine in a lush setting decorated to reflect the true essence of Japan.

Brass Rail Lounge

If you fancy relaxing with a tasty tropical cocktail, take a seat in the Brass Rail Lounge and listen to some live musical entertainment.

Starting at the top, the Miramar has the perfect place to cool off or catch a few rays. The rooftop pool with its sun terrace is a great spot to sip a cocktail too or chill-out in the jacuzzi. Oh, and the views of the iconic Singapore river are worth a look too.

Inside the Miramar, you’ll also find a way to keep up your exercise regime. The in-house gym has got enough equipment, including exercise bike, treadmill and multigym, to get your personal routine up and running in no time.

Destination info

Singapore's warm, friendly people also make this tiny nation such a tonic. If you're looking for the perfect blend of culture, entertainment, shopping, glorious weather and first class accommodation, you really can't fault this fascinatingly eclectic nation.

It might be one of the most compact republics in the world, but Singapore certainly packs a whole lot of fun and fascination for the modern traveller. It’s a modern, thrilling metropolis, with a string of quays lined with glitzy bars and a clutch of world-class national parks in the steamy hinterlands.

You'll be dazzled by the Republic's shopping, for sure. An amazing array of the coolest designer brands all the way to the exotica of beautiful local crafts. Entertainment for all ages is taken care of, with a host of resorts and modern venues filled with rides, music, movies and live entertainment.

The mix of cultures adds a real richness, especially when you sit down to eat. With influences from all over Asia and the Orient, it’s a stimulating melting pot, as well as the best place to taste something really authentic.

In the know

The Hotel Miramar Singapore offers a number of ways to make your stay extra special – if you know about them! Here are our insider’s secrets for the hotel:

The Hong Lim market is a tasty place to sample a local breakfast, either an Indian roti prata or Chinese teochew porridge.

Head 131m up into the sky to the top of the Carlsberg Sky Tower and (on a clear day) you can see Indonesia and Malaysia on the horizon.

Have your fortune told by the tellers at the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple, a Chinese temple built in 1884.

The Singapore Art Museum on 71 Bras Basah Road has reputedly the best and largest collection of 20th Century South East Asian art. There’s usually plenty of modern art on display too.

1500 live butterflies from over 50 species can be found at Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom on Cable Car Road.

A great way to see Singapore from the river is to take an air-conditioned boat taxi that stops at 16 jetties along the way so you can jump on and off as you like.
