Maiden Shanghai offers authentic Chinese cooking in a spectacular Dubai setting. You'll find lunch and dinner here, made from traditional recipes but with a distinctly modern spin. Here, the ingredients take the lead. Over at BLVD On One, a brasserie with fusion at its heart, world cuisines mix together into a proper melting pot of flavours. If you don't know what you want, this is the place for you. Cinque, meanwhile, delivers fine Italian dining in a fun setting, right by FIVE's Insta-famous social pool. Head chef Mauro will serve up something richly Italian but with a twist to honour his Sicilian roots.

So, those are the signature restaurants, but there's a bunch of more casual spots too. You've got The Delisserie, where you'll find your new favourite pastry, Detox Me Cafe for those who don't want to fall too far into the deep end of holiday over-eating, and The Lobby Lounge, a great spot for people watching or for a spot of afternoon tea.

Don't forget the lounges on offer! You've got strictly adults-only The Penthouse on the 16th floor, a rooftop day and evening lounge with views so good it's bonkers. Psst: it's also the #1 nightlife destination in Dubai! If you have a thing for cocktails, head to ROAR - Dubai's first crafted cocktail bar. If you want something slick and seriously stylish, then it's Above 21 for you. A whisky and cigar lounge in a modern Gatsby setting (oo-er), here you'll find only the most premium whiskys and the rarest of cigars.

If you want something a bit more down to earth and closer to the water, then head to Praia, a premium seaside lounge serving European Coastal cuisine with a bit of a Japanese flare! It's super playful here, reflecting the fun side to FIVE. But if you want to be literally on the beach, then you've got FIVE Beach for a relaxed and easy-breezy afternoon with music and watersports.

So, what can you get up to?

REFIVE is the Spa at FIVE, where you can reinvigorate every nook and cranny with a bucket load of health and wellness treatments. Get a facial by Natura Bisse or Sodashi, and then head to the spa's rooftop pool for the hydrotherapy jets or a bit of sound healing. Already feeling as relaxed as a noodle, aren't you?

If you prefer to be upright rather than horizontal, props to you. Make plenty use of the state-of-the-art gym for personal training, group sessions, or just to get your sweat on with the Techno Gym Artis range of equipment.
But if you don't want to be upright or horizontal, but would rather be a Lotus or a Bakasana, then head to the yoga studio for a session with their in-house yoga instructor.

Beach by FIVE is where you can dive straight into their insta-famous infinity pool or relax on their VIP sunloungers and cabanas, daily from 9am 'til sunset.

August, unsurprisingly, is the hottest month, with a whopping average of 35°, with January lows of 19°.
August is also the best for a dip in the toasty 33° waters of the Arabian Gulf.
