Edinburgh Airport Transport
Travelling to and from Edinburgh, either from the city or further west, is made simple via the fast road connections. The airport lies on the A8 Glasgow – Edinburgh route, and can be easily accessed from Stirling (via the M9) and Perth (via the M90). Lothian buses run an express bus service (Airlink 100) from the airport to the Edinburgh City Centre, approximately four times an hour. It stops at Edinburgh Waverley train station. This will connect you to both national and local rail links. Local buses are also available to the city centre, as well as destinations across the River Forth such as Inverkeithing and the Ferrytoll Park and Ride, Fife.
Car Hire at Edinburgh Airport
If you want to hire a car, there is plenty of choice at the dedicated Car Hire complex, accessible by regular free shuttle bus. Taxis are an easy option too, with a good choice of operators serving the airport and surrounding areas. Pre-booking prior to arrival is a good idea. Most operators will track your arrival time and be on hand to collect you.
