Glasgow Airport Transport
Travelling to and from Glasgow Airport, either from the city or the west, is made simple via the fast M8 motorway link. If you aren’t using your own car, a regular bus service runs around the clock from the centre of Glasgow. Run by First Glasgow, this service is known as Bus service 500. Bus services to local areas run from outside the terminal too.
Travel to Glasgow Airport by rail
Although there is no direct rail link, you’ll find a train station just two miles away, Paisley Gilmour Street. Eight trains per hour run from Glasgow’s Central Station, Monday to Saturday, and five per hour on a Sunday. Regular buses link the station to the airport (services 66 and 300). If you are travelling this way, make sure you ask for a bus ticket to be included with your rail fare.
Driving to and from Glasgow Airport
If you want to hire a car, there is plenty of choice on the ground floor of the terminal, with at least seven brands to choose from. Outside of rush-hour, central Glasgow is around 10 minutes drive away. The airport is at Junction 28 of the Motorway.
Taxis from Glasgow Airport
Taxis are an easy option too, with around 450 taxi companies serving the airport and surrounding areas. Pre-booking prior to arrival is a good idea and most operators will track your arrival time and be on hand to collect you.
