The Dominican Republic is served by three main international airports: Las Americas International Airport, Santo Domingo, in the south; Punta Cana International Airport on the east of the island and Gregorio Luperón International Airport in the north.
Las Americas International Airport
Las Americas International Airport (SDQ), also known as the José Francisco Peña Gómez Airport, is located approximately 20 minutes from the capital city of Santo Domingo.
Spanning over two terminals, the three-story complex supports flights from several international airlines including Delta and British Airways.

ATMs can be found throughout the airport with a 24hr currency exchange service also available.
Located on the top level is a food court with a choice of restaurants, cafes, bars and fast food outlets.
Duty-free shops, information services and a post office are also located within the airport and there is Wi Fi access available throughout.

Taxis can be found outside the terminal and are an easy option getting to and from the airport.

Punta Cana International Airport
Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) has three terminals and is the main airport for the Dominican Republic. Receiving the largest diversity of worldwide flights makes it the second busiest airport in the Caribbean.
This airport is located approximately 15 minutes from the Punta Cana and Cap Cana areas and is within close proximately of both seaside resorts and popular hotel resorts including Bávaro, El Cortecito, and Macao.

There is a selection of duty-free, retail and souvenir shops found within the terminals.
A food court offers a selection of popular restaurants and bars to choose from, with a variety of fast food and snacks also available.
ATMs can be found throughout the terminals.
Getting to and from Punta Cana International Airport
Several car rental services including Avis, Hertz, Dollar, Budget and Europcar operate from the airport.
Taxis are available 24hrs from the airport with a journey to Punta Cana hotels averaging between 20-40 USD.
Complimentary hotel shuttle buses are offered by some resorts – these can be pre-booked in advance.
Gregorio Luperón International Airport
Also known as the Puerto Plata International Airport (POP), this airport is located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic and is a 20 minute car journey from the city of Puerto Plata and the resort of Sosúa.
The airport has one terminal and serves a number of international flights.

Services at the airport include a tourist information desk, a post office, banks, ATMs and a bureau de change.
Duty-free and local craft shops are also available.
