What does ATOL offer?
Financial protection and the means to return home for flight inclusive holidays if the company you book with fails.
How does ATOL differ from ABTA?
Some ABTA members offer additional financial protection for non-ATOL products. ABTA members are governed by ABTA’s Code of Conduct, under which you will receive high service standards before, during and after booking your holiday.
Did you know?
If you book a flight & hotel/car hire separately, but through the same company and within 24 hours of each other, you are ATOL protected - this is known as a Flight-plus holiday.

Destination Montreal

Dust off your French dictionary and check out flights to Montreal as you prepare to visit a vibrant city rich in diversity and culture.

Getting to the downtown area shouldn't take too long from the airport; a fixed cost taxi won’t break the bank, although perhaps for the solo traveller the shuttle bus service might be more suitable. Going by regular bus will be quite challenging, particularly if you’re carrying luggage, while the airport is not served very well by the rail network.

Montreal is genuinely blessed with four distinct seasons, once you decide what sort of weather you're after you can reliably select the timing of your flights. Bear in mind winter in Quebec isn’t for the faint-hearted, although if you’re going for the slopes this shouldn't be too much of an issue.

While not as notorious for its skiing and snowboarding as the west coast’s British Columbia, there are still plenty of spots within touching distance of Montreal, including Bromont, Jay Peak and Mont Blanc.

Winter can be long but once things start warming up the city seems to reawaken, with cafes and restaurants starting to spill out on the streets, while the parks and gardens bloom into life. Festival season also begins, so check out the calendar for what’s going on while you’re there.

Summer is packed with events, from musical to sports and arts festivals, and the weather usually complies, despite the propensity for showers. If you prefer cooler weather then just after summer could be the ideal time to visit, thanks to the autumnal flavour that washes the city’s greenery with its changing colours.
