Getting around the airport



At Washington Dulles you can ride on one of the few remaining mobile lounges to transfer between terminal buildings. However, these are gradually being phased out so you are more likely to find yourself in the AeroTrain, an underground people mover system.


Getting to the city from the airport



There are numerous car hire options at the airport if you want to drive. It takes about 40 minutes to get to the city centre in non-rush hour traffic. Alternatively, you could book a SuperShuttle or the Supreme Airport Shuttle, both of which are private taxi services. The Metrobus will take you directly to the city centre for a very reasonable fee.


Don't forget before you fly
