The resort has a total of nine places to eat and drink, with plenty of variety.

The culinary highlight is the BiCE Italian Restaurant that has won its fair share of awards for its modern Italian dishes like classic Sicilian rigatoni or lobster carpaccio. The BiCE Sky Bar is open till 2.30am for cocktails and wonderful views over Jumeirah Beach and the iconic Palm.

Oceana is elegantly styled like a 1920s cruise ship and serves daily themed dinners and a breakfast buffet.

The Pachanga Restaurant takes its inspiration from South America. This Latin spirit underpins a menu that serves meat and seafood recipes from across that continent. There’s live music every night, as well as free dance lessons, followed by a professional floorshow, twice a week.

Outside, next to the pool you can relax in the shade of the Wavebreaker beachside bar and pick something tasty from the charcoal BBQ, from burgers to huge prawns.

Sports fans will find some tasty matches on the plasma screen in the Studio One sports bar, with light bites and special cocktails on the menu.

The Axis Lobby Lounge is cool, relaxed and modern, serving speciality coffees and afternoon tea. The H20 Pool Bar and Restaurant, on the other hand, is where to go for a drink in your bathing costume at the swim-up bar, or if you feel like a light snack or al fresco lunch.

The Cuban Bar, as its name suggests, is all about that part of the world and is the place for delicious evening tapas and cocktails.

A final dining option, across at the Hilton Residences, will give you a taste of local delicacies at the lively and family-friendly Hartisan restaurant. It’s great to watch the chefs at work in their bustling open kitchen, as they prepare Arabic and Coastal Mediterranean specialities.

The resort’s beach is where to try your hand for all kinds of water sports. There’s windsurfing, water-skiing, snorkelling, sailing, and a whole lot more.

Back at the resort’s beachfront pool, you can relax on your lounger in the shade of the palm trees, whilst the kids whoop it up in the baby pool. In fact, things are very family-friendly, with special packages available, as well as services such as babysitting, kids’ activities and playground.

For kids and others, there are a mouth-watering array of dining and drinking options. Amongst the nine eateries to choose from, there is everything from casual al fresco burgers to the very finest Italian cuisine, with plenty in between.

Business guests will appreciate many aspects of this Hilton hotel. The exclusive executive lounge with its many complimentary benefits is one. The business centre is another, as well as all the communication and other business technology you might need to get your job done. Four ‘Hilton Meetings’ rooms complete the business picture. There is everything here to host and run a truly professional meeting or special occasion gathering for up to 275 guests.

If you do need to travel into the city, you’re only 10 minutes from the metro station and key business areas.

The accommodation is made up of a number of levels of room and suite. You have a choice of sea or ‘walk’ views, and good accessibility built-in, including wide bathroom doors, ramps for wheelchairs, roll-in showers, and more ways to make your stay as hassle-free as possible. All the rooms have a bright and modern design, spacious bathrooms, full air-conditioning and high-speed WiFi.

Guest services are up to standard, with everything from barber shop and beauty salon, to a clothing store and gift shop. The activity desk can book you activities like fishing and sailing excursions, or a sightseeing trip into the city or the desert.

Destination info

The best time to visit Dubai is in the cooler months from December to February. That’s when the temperatures are more like the Mediterranean. In May to September, the city really boils – but it still remains popular with visitors looking for a summer holiday!<br/
Bur Dubai, south of the Creek, is the oldest part of the city, with its most interesting traditional Arabian heritage houses and highly atmospheric textile souk.

Deira, north of the Creek, has most of Dubai’s traditional commercial activity in its vibrant array of old-fashioned souks.

The Bastakia is the city’s most perfectly-preserved traditional district with a labyrinth of old-fashioned Arabian houses topped by distinctive wind towers.

Take a stroll on the Dubai Marina Walk after dark when the heat cools and the moon rises. There are plenty of low-key cafes and restaurants to stop and do some people watching, amongst locals and ex-pats alike.

The Jumeirah Mosque is not just good to see, but its thrice-weekly tours led by entertaining and informative guides are filled with fascinating insights into Muslim life.
