Day 3 Florence
Travel through the heart of Oregon Wine Country on your way to the magnificent coast. As you head south along this spectacular Scenic Byway you will pass historic lighthouses, sleepy fishing villages and amazing vistas. In a superb location on the central Oregon Coast where the Sinuslaw River meets the ocean, Florence is a delight with its restored historic district. Take a trip to Heceta Head Lighthouse then stop by at the Sea Lion Caves for a real adventure! If you have a head for heights, take the plunge and descend 208 feet down into the world's largest and most spectacular sea cave, which is also home to the wild Steller sea lion.

Day 4 Coos Bay
Witness a visual spectacular today! In between Florence and Coos Bay, this natural phenomenon will stun you. Formed by wind and waves, see the spectacular Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area with over 47 miles of ever shifting sand. The largest in the USA, expect glistening valleys, vast hills and ghost like forests. Don your hiking boots and explore by foot - with an optional sand board, or for adrenaline junkies, do the dune buddy for the ride of your life.

Day 5 Roseburg
Your drive to Roseburg will be sensational, located in the heart of the Land of Umpqua. Roseburg is packed with history, celebrating its rich past with a selection of museums and wineries. For the outdoor type, you'll be in your element, try your hand at fishing, rafting, mountain biking or rock climbing.

Day 6 - 7 Bend
More scenic byways will take you to the unspoilt wonder of Crater Lake National Park. No other place in America matches the dramatic beauty of Crater Lake – deep, pure and astoundingly blue. Surrounded by sheer cliffs nearly 2,000 feet high, the lake is the 7th deepest in the world and the deepest in the United States. Continue north and take the Cascade Lakes National Scenic Byway through Deschutes National Forest as you head for Central Oregon’s high desert and the friendly town of Bend. Geologic wonders unfold as you witness Newberry Volcano, the Lava Lands Visitor Center and take the Trail of Molten Lava. A day to remember will be when you mount the chairlift and reach the summit of Mt. Bachelor, all the while oohing and ahhing at the spectacular scenery below. Think cascading waterfalls... and you're there.

Day 8 Baker City
Today, stop by at the John Day National Monument and witness other fascinating historic sites as you drive on the Journey Through Time Scenic Byway. You’ll encounter Pioneer tales, ghost towns and fossil beds along the way. Scenic Baker City is well placed between the Elkhorn Mountain Range and the Eagle Caps. Spend your day soaking up the sights, shopping and eating well. Not to be missed is a trip to the award-winning Barley Brown’s Brew Pub.

Day 9 Pendleton
The wild west is waiting for you in Pendleton. With dusty plains and jagged red rocks rolling over the hills, wild rivers and fertile wheat fields. Be a cowboy for the day and mosey on down to the world-famous Pendleton Round-Up for a rodeo, play slots or learn about native tribes.
