Toronto - Airport guide

Toronto’s airport, Pearson International (YYK), is a busy modern airport hub, serving onward flights to all parts of the country, and international arrivals and departures across the globe. It’s about 30 kilometres north west of the city. Air Canada operates from Terminal 1, with most other international flights using T3.

Airport express

These fast, frequent buses leave from level two of Terminal 1, and Level 1 of Terminal 3. Buses leave approximately every half an hour, from 5am to midnight. Journey takes between half an hour and an hour, depending on which part of the city you’re headed. Cost around $20 one way, $30 round trip.

There are local bus services operating to and from the airport. Stops are located in the basement level of Terminal 1, and the lower level of Terminal 3. Schedules and routes are posted by the bus stops.

The 192 Airport Rocket bus route provides all-day express bus service between the Airport and Kipling subway station. At Kipling, take the subway into midtown - Yonge/Bloor station is your best bet, or consult the map to find the station nearest to your hotel.

Supershuttle operates from 1E-1D and tickets can be bought at the 1G entrance. This shared ride service will take you anywhere downtown. The fare is $29 for the first passenger, and a further $10 for anyone else in your party.

You’ll easily find a taxi outside the baggage reclaim areas in both Terminals 1 and 3. They’re metered, but you should budget on around $50. There are maps at the taxi stands, giving a rough idea of how much you can expect to pay to various destinations in the Greater Toronto area.

There’s a free train running between the two terminals, every ten minutes, 24 hours a day. The train also stops at the Sheraton Gateway hotel. Look for the LINK signs.
