Perth & the Margaret River Region
Days 1 & 2: Leave Perth and head to the Margaret River (171 miles)
Head south out of Perth towards Bunbury, you might want to stop at the Dolphin Discovery Centre, before continuing to Busselton, home to the longest jetty in the southern hemispheres. Continue on to Margaret River for a two-night stay. Spend a day exploring boutique breweries, vineyards and amazing gourmet restaurants. Watch the surfers at Surfers Point or discover the spectacular cave systems including Mammoth, Jewel and Lake Caves, the latter home to a tranquil underground lake.

Day 3: Depart from Margaret River on to Pemberton (235 miles)
Today, it’s on to Augusta, Australia’s most south-westerly point. Here there are great photo opportunities and sights including the lighthouse of Cape Leeuwin to witness the meeting of the Indian and Great Southern Oceans. Stop off at Northcliffe to view the famous forest sculptures, then drive to the eerie Valley of the Giants.
Continue to Albany, known for its natural attractions along the rugged coastline of Torndirrup National Park.

Day 4: Albany
Your day is at leisure to enjoy everything Albany has to offer. Step back in time and discover convict jails, old taverns, whaling ships, settlers’ cottages and grand National Trust homes.
Day 5: Head out of Albany and back to Perth (268 miles)
Head back to Perth on the Albany Highway, perhaps stopping at the Stirling Range National Park, or the historic pioneer settlement of York.
