Miami International Airport (MIA)
Miami International Airport serves as the primary airport to this beautiful city. Located just 8 miles North West of Downtown Miami this is the busiest in Florida, serving more than 30 million passengers yearly, acting as the gateway between Latin America and the United States. Also known as MIA, the airport is well connected by a variety of ground transport, helping you reach your intended destinations on arrival.

Taxis
There are various taxi services available from MIA, which can be found on the ground level of the airport, outside the baggage claim areas. Travelling to various areas, different zones are charged at various flat rates. Zone A – C charge up to $14 and zone 1 – 5 charge between $32 and $52. Areas outside of these zones are charged at varying rates.
There are also SuperShuttle vans available from the same area, charging varied flat rates for different zones. Zones A – C charge up to $18, and Zones 1- 5 charge between $10 and $32. Areas outside these zones charge at varying rates.
Rental Car
If you’d prefer to drive yourself around Miami there are plenty of car rental companies available at the Rental Car Center.
Although there aren’t any rental companies within the airport, passengers can board the MIA Mover System free of charge, taking you to the rental centre via a 1.25 mile long automated people mover.

Public transport
There are various forms of public transport to assist your journey to and from the airport.
The Airport Flyer runs every 30 minutes between the hours of 6a.m. and 11p.m., with the Airport Flyer Express providing quick and convenient transport, for around $2.35.
The Metrorail is a 22 mile elevated rapid transit system that runs throughout Miami, offering connections buses and the tri rail. A one way trip tends to cost $2.25, with the Orange Line providing quick and easy access to MIA
Visitor Information
There is a Tourist Information Centre located at Central Terminal E, level 2, near the airport's hotel. The counter is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, throughout the year.
