Economy Class

Passengers in Economy can experience 18 feature films in up to eight different languages. Also available for TV shows and music videos on 35 channels, and ListenRelax offers 30 international radio stations and a variety of music choices emcompassing all music styles from Classical to Rock music.

Passengers in Economy on long haul flights will travel in a comfortable seat with a cushion of over 40cm wide and a seat pitch of at least 30” – increasing to 32” on some aircraft. Adjustable head rests and thin seat backs for additional leg room ensure the seat’s comfort.

Passengers will receive a meal which suits the departure time and destination, along with complimentary drinks. On selected routes, a ‘movie snack’ may also be offered.

Business Class

As well as the entertainment options offered in Economy, Business Class passengers receive a variety of games and informational videos about the destination and its surroundings. Each passenger can use a personal 10.4” screen with noise cancelling headphones to completely relax in-flight. Audio-Video-on-Demand allows passengers to fast-forward and rewind videos and music at their leisure, and extras such as talking books and language courses mean each passenger can choose their own in-flight entertainment options.

Business Class passengers experience a sleeper seat of two metres long with a slight incline. A remote control allows each passenger to decide their position and try out the extras – like an integrated massage function. A foldable privacy partition allows an ability to sleep in peace, and an individual reading light means passengers can choose to work or read as they wish. Each seat also includes a laptop power point. Seats have a pitch of 60” and a recline of 170 degrees.

Business Class passengers now have more choice when dining – with three starters to decide from, as well as the individual Express Menu and Breakfast to go each passenger can decide on what they want to eat, and when.

First Class

First Class passengers experience a screen at their seat which offers film and music as standard as well as the latest news and sports highlights, music magazines from around the world, audio books and extra information about the flight and its destination. Each passenger also receives a copy of the Lufthansa Media World Program Guide. There are also a range of newspapers and magazines available, as well as an exclusive travel amenity kit.

Seats in First Class transform into a fully flat, two metre long bed with a high quality duvet and soft pillow. When upright, the seat has adjustable head and shoulder rests, as well as comfortable foot rests. The seat pitch and width depends on the aircraft; First Class on 747-400 aircraft includes both a fixed seat and a separate sleeping area.

Passengers in First Class can experience fine dining from current Star Chef David Burke, who produces meals such as Red snapper with tomato and mint sauce and basmati rice. Each Star Chef works with Lufthansa for two months before a new Chef produces a new menu.

Alternatively, passengers may choose to request the Dreamer’s Delight Menu – a selection of mouth-watering treats served in one course so that the rest of the flight may be spent sleeping soundly.
