What does ATOL offer?
Financial protection and the means to return home for flight inclusive holidays if the company you book with fails.
How does ATOL differ from ABTA?
Some ABTA members offer additional financial protection for non-ATOL products. ABTA members are governed by ABTA’s Code of Conduct, under which you will receive high service standards before, during and after booking your holiday.
Did you know?
If you book a flight & hotel/car hire separately, but through the same company and within 24 hours of each other, you are ATOL protected - this is known as a Flight-plus holiday.

It may be necessary to take a connecting flight depending on where you are based; although there are plenty of direct flights from London, Manchester and Birmingham. A non-stop journey from the UK should take around 10 hours, with a little shaved off on the return journey thanks to the flying conditions.

You’ll likely arrive at the airport of either Kingston or Montego Bay, which are located in the south east and North West of the island respectively. There is a fair distance between the airports, as Jamaica is not a small island, with a length of 154 miles and width of 52 miles.

Norman Manley International Airport is less than 20 minutes from Kingston, and offers a number of ground transportation services such as taxis, tour operators and car hire companies that include well-known names such as Avis, Budget and Hertz.

Sangster International Airport meanwhile is ideally located for many tourist resorts, and similarly offers taxi services, tour operators and familiar car hire companies located in the arrivals hall.

It may be a good idea to save on the hassle of organising your transport once you arrive by arranging a shuttle service with the hotel or resort you’re staying at, which may already be included in the price of your accommodation.
