Getting around the airport
Miami International is the second-busiest airport in the US with about 100,000 passengers passing through on average per day. Miami Airport is shaped like a ‘U’, with three terminals: North, Central and South. When you arrive at MIA on an international flight, you’ll go through US Customs and Border Patrol first before moving to the baggage claim. There are moving walkways and a Skyride Connector to allow you to travel quickly between terminals. There are endless shops and restaurants to pass the time in the airport.
Getting to the city from the airport
There are plenty of ways to travel from the airport to the city once your Miami flight has landed. On the arrival (ground) level of the airport, there’s a number of taxicabs and shuttle buses available, whereas hotel shuttles can be found on the upper (departure) level of the airport. If you’re looking to rent a car, you’ll find the Rental Car Center in the Central Station which also offers a Metrobus and Metrorail service.
