Bandaranaike International Airport

As one of two airports that serve the island’s capital of Colombo, the four terminals (three domestic, one cargo) see many visitors each year. At the airport those arriving and departing will find a host of shopping and dining facilities, to keep them occupied whilst awaiting their flight. The airport can be found 22 miles north of the city and there are a whole host of different ways to reach your final destination. This includes a bus, which operates every 15 minutes from the terminal to the city, which takes around 15 minutes, a taxi service with a fleet of over 600 vehicles at the arrival lobby counter, and an Airport Express Rail service.

Ratmalana Airport

This is the second airport serving the city of Colombo and sits closer than its larger counterpart and has two terminals, one serving domestic and the other cargo. Despite being smaller the airport has a number of facilities, such as; VIP lounge, ground handling, immigration service, baggage and passenger screening as per ICAO Standards, quarantine and re-fueling, alongside places to eat and shop. Getting to your final destination is extremely easy with the same services available as Bandaranaike International Airport.
